Advice from our nutritionist Olga Gridina.
Eating disorders often occur during the holidays, when an external stimulus appears in the form of an abundance of food that you have forbidden yourself. You were on a diet for a whole month before the holidays, your "dietary fatigue" is simply going off scale, and one portion of the "banned" food will not do you any good.
Causes of eating disorders
Dietary:
- Long breaks between meals and strong physiological hunger.
- Malnutrition, strong calorie deficit.
- Strict restrictions, division of products into "useful" and "good" and «harmful», food monotony.
Psychological:
- Inability to cope with emotions without the help of food
- Eating tasteless, «dietary» food that you do not enjoy.
- Desire for quick changes and unrealistic goals.
- Lack of noticeable dynamics in weight loss and loss of motivation.
